1750 BROADWAY
HAC is pleased to announce our endorsement of Rubicon Point Partners’ proposed project at 1750 Broadway in Oakland, California. After an extensive presentation from the project team, our Project Review Committee determined the proposal would help to alleviate the housing affordability and displacement crisis by creating well-designed new homes centered around local and regional transit.

95 HAWTHORNE ST.
After reviewing this project proposed by John Hancock Life Insurance, HAC’s Project Review Committee has endorsed 95 Hawthorne Street, which brings in much needed family housing to the San Francisco downtown area, joining several other new housing projects along Folsom and in the Central Transit District. Our committee would like to commend the project specifically for taking advantage of the State Density Bonus to provide more needed affordable homes for San Franciscans.

PENINSULA HEIGHTS

HAYWARD PARK STATION
Having reviewed this project proposed by the sponsor, HAC’s Project Review Committee has endorsed the Hayward Park Station, which replaces an underutilized parking lot with 189 new homes across different income levels. This proposed project at 3333 California Street will bring in an impressive load of 744 new homes into San Francisco. This project has received the highest ever Report Card score since the card’s redesign. The tower uses a Special Use District to reach the required height for its 744 homes. This proposed project will bring in 25 new homes, above the original 18 zoned for via a Conditional Use Permit. Of those 25 homes, 5 of which will be made affordable, up from the required rate of 12%. Situated near several MUNI bus and rail lines, it also replaces a parking lot. THE CREAMERY
This proposed project at 655 Fourth Street will consist of two new buildings, bringing in 960 new units alongside funding a further 288 affordable units through the payment of $60.74 million in-lieu fee. Having reviewed the project proposed by the project sponsor and architect, HAC’s Project Review Committee has endorsed 65 Ocean Avenue, which creates necessary new homes for San Franciscans with a greater-than-usual number of BMR (Below Market Rate) and a community-serving childcare service center. Our committee would like to specifically commend the project team for utilizing HOME- SF.

PUC SITE
The Housing Advocacy Coalition is proud to announce its endorsement of AGI-KASA Partners’ proposed project at South San Francisco’s PUC site. After an extensive presentation from the project team, our Project Review Committee determined the proposal would help address crises caused by our housing shortage through creation of well-designed new homes, located near transit. The Committee would also like to highlight the various difficulties associated with maximizing the potential of the site to serve the community with housing.

This proposed project on 10 South Van Ness Avenue in downtown San Francisco is a 590ft tall apartment tower with 33,000 square feet of ground retail and 984 new homes to boot. This behemoth of a project will definitely help San Francisco with its housing shortage and is worthy of our support. INDIA BASIN
This proposed project in Southeast San Francisco in the Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood will transform a former gravel yard into a pedestrian-and-bicycle-focused residential village holding host to 1,575 homes.
