Joint Public Policy Forum with the SF Chamber of Commerce:
November Election Recap with Alex Clemens
On November 8th, San Francisco voters will decide on 42 local and state ballot measures, the most since 1993. What will be the impacts of these results and how will they influence local politics and public policy decisions?
Join the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and San Francisco Housing Action Coalition for a co-hosted election presentation and discussion with Alex Clemens, Co-founder of Lighthouse Public Affairs, and Conor Johnston, Chief of Staff to Supervisor London Breed. This event is open to members of both organizations.
Alex Clemens is a veteran political operative and communications expert who has worked for four elected officials in San Francisco and Washington, DC. In 2003, Alex founded Barbary Coast Consulting, which the New York Times named an elite public affairs firm. In 2016, he joined with Rich Peterson and Boe Hayward to combine their firms and co-found Lighthouse Public Affairs.
Conor Johnston is the Chief of Staff to the President of the Board of Supervisors, London Breed. Prior to working in government, Conor ran operations and sales departments for two different local techstartups and operated a biofuel production coop. He is the co-founder of the East of Twin Peaks Neighborhood Association, and a monthly columnist for the San Francisco Examiner.
