South Bay Housing Tax Measure E Kicks Off Campaign In San Jose

BayHAC and SFHAC team members and supporters joined neighbors, advocates, and local leaders like San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo  at Second Street Studios in San Jose last week to kick off the campaign to pass Measure E, an affordable housing measure funded by taxing the transfer of any properties assessed at $2 million dollars or more. We’re behind Measure E because the property tax system in California is broken, and cities like San Jose desperately need the funding to produce the most needed homes. The campaign is connecting with neighbors across the city and the region in the coming months and we’ll bring you more about why San Jose and the entire Bay Area should say Yes to Measure E.

Housing Action Coalition
