Walking Tour Through Duboce Triangle and Hayes Valley

Join the San Francisco Housing Action Coalition and Emerging Leaders Peer Network for a walking tour of Duboce Triangle and Hayes Valley. Major changes were predicted in these neighborhoods once the central freeway was torn down after the 1989 earthquake. Today’s neighborhood has been shaped as a result of the freeway removal and the Market-Octavia Plan, a 10-year long collaborative effort between the city and residents to rezone the area. We’ll explore several housing projects in these neighborhoods, ranging from subsidized affordable to market-rate homes. This co-hosted tour will give you an understanding of what’s happened so far and what the future holds. RSVP is required.
