Visitacion Valley Workshop: Impact Fee Prioritization & Schlage Park Design
July 16, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm PDT
Visitacion Valley neighbors are invited to participate in a community workshop on Saturday, July 16, 2016, 10am – 12:30pm at the Visitacion Valley Library. The workshop agenda will be organized in two parts.
Part One: Community Priorities for Impact Fees
10 – 11:20am
This is the fourth in a series of workshops dedicated to identifying community priorities for the utilization of development impact fees in Visitacion Valley. With the Schlage Lock development coming ever closer to reality, impact fees will begin to become available for community improvements in the near future. Taking account of neighborhood input and priorities from the previous meetings, City agencies have scoped a suite of potential projects that could be realized using impact fees. This is a critical opportunity to share your feedback on the potential projects that are a priority for the Visitacion Valley community.Â
Part Two: Schlage Lock Development Parks Design
11:30am – 12:30pm
The workshop will include an update from the Recreation and Parks Department on the design of the two parks slated for construction at the Schlage Lock development. The project landscape architect will present the final park layout for both parks based on the community input received at three meetings in 2015. Additionally, the community will provide input on the play structures and interactive garden elements.
Accessibility: Visitacion Valley Library is ADA accessible. For language assistance or disability accommodations at the event, please contact Candace Soohoo at candace.soohoo@sfgov.org or 415-575-9157 at least 72 hours in advance.
