New Housing Tour: Alice Griffith Apartments

Alice Griffith is a public housing project located in the Bayview. Over the years, the site fell into disrepair and became in dire need of rehabilitation. In 2010, numerous stakeholders embarked on a collaborative effort to create a healthy and vibrant mix-income community, using the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s signature place-based program, the Choice Neighborhood Initiative (CNI). Partners included City of San Francisco, the San Francisco Housing Authority, the Mayor’s Office of Housing, McCormack Baron Salazar, Urban Strategies, Inc., Lennar Urban and Alice Griffith residents. The recently completed Alice Griffith Phases I and II consist of 184 permanently affordable homes. Join SFHAC and a member of the project team for a tour through the site.
