For the past 30 years, Randy Shaw, Executive Director of the Tenderloin Housing Clinic, has been an advocate and champion of the Tenderloin, a neighborhood known for its drugs, crime and poverty. A prolific writer, with 5 books and a weekly Beyond Chron article, Randy will be speaking to us about the changes that he’s seen in the Tenderloin and how the Tenderloin has been a national model on how poor areas can improve without displacement or other effects of gentrification. P.S. – Come when the doors open to check out the rich history displayed at the Tenderloin Museum
All SFHAC members are welcome. Please RSVP below.
