Modular construction provides an opportunity for reduced hard costs during a time when it is getting increasingly difficult to make projects pencil. Join our panel in a discussion on the evolving modular industry, prospects this construction methodology provides, and the future of modular construction in the Bay Area.
Our diverse panel includes perspectives from experienced developers Rick Holliday and V. Fei Tsen, construction expertise from Larry Pace, and the rare union viewpoint from Jay Bradsahw on this emerging construction technique. Carol Galante, distinguished professor of affordable housing and urban policy from the Terner Center, will challenge these panelists on how modular construction can be a practical solution for building residential construction in 2017 and beyond.
This program is part of ULI SF’s Housing the Bay, a member-driven initiative to tackle some of the root causes of our housing shortage and deliver innovative solutions in the realms of financing, construction costs, policy, and the public process. This unique modular panel comes form our Cost of Building working group and is a lead-up program for the Housing Summit in October.
