Transportation Demand Management Program Open House
May 18, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm PDT
Join San Francisco Planning, the SFMTA and the San Francisco County Transportation Authority for an open house to learn more about the proposed ordinance to establish a citywide Transportation Demand Management Program to support more sustainable travel choices.
Transportation Demand Management, often referred to as TDM, is the “Shift” component of the Transportation Sustainability Program, a comprehensive reform of the way the City handles development so that the transportation network keeps pace with growth. TDM describes measures that incentivize sustainable travel choices to move around the City. These types of travel choices are good for the environment, help manage congestion and improve the efficiency of the transportation network. The City is working on shifting travel choices as San Francisco grows, making it easier for new arrivals to take transit, bike or other efficient travel methods rather than moving to the City with a car.
Accessibility: San Francisco Planning Department is ADA accessible. For other disability accommodations or language assistance, please contact Candace SooHoo at candace.soohoo@sfgov.org or 415-575-9157 at least 72 hours in advance of the event.
