I'm reaching out to encourage you to support the More HOMES Act, also known as Senate Bill 50, at the San Mateo City Council Hearing on April 15th. As you know, the Bay Area has suffered for years from a lack of new housing, resulting in an affordability and displacement crisis that impacts us all. Because San Mateo does not have enough housing, rents are at an all-time high, having more than doubled in the last decade. The More HOMES Act would be a positive step in helping to ensure our city creates more homes at all levels of affordability to address this crisis, and it must be passed. Please vote on Monday night to support the More HOMES Act. Thank you.
