Prefab Construction Up Close at 5830 3rd St. – CANCELLED

Prefab construction, also known as modular, is starting to make a name for itself in San Francisco. The latest project to take advantage of this time efficient and relatively low cost building type is 5830 3rd Street in Bayview. The project is a joint venture of Holliday Development and L+M Development Partners, designed by Lowney Architecture. The building’s units were manufactured off-site by Zeta Design + Build at an old Air Force base outside Sacramento and stacked at the project site within a matter of weeks. SFHAC members are welcome to join a small tour of the site, led by Zeta, to see how it all came to be. RSVP below.

Transit to site: Take the 3rd Street Muni train down to Bayview and get off at Carroll Avenue. The site is a two-minute walk from the stop.
