Featuring Kim Pipkin of Black Kite Consulting (Planning Commissioner and Vice Chair of the General Plan Committee in the Town of San Anselmo) and Jonathan Fearn of Signature Development (Commissioner on the Oakland Planning Commission), this session will cover how to research your local planning context, align your proposal with General Plan and ordinance “findings,” and structure clear, professional presentations that anticipate commissioner and community concerns.

Participants will learn practical strategies for preparing for public hearings, responding to staff reports, and following up in ways that strengthen relationships with staff and commissioners, helping to advance more housing in their jurisdictions.
