Bayview Bike Tour: Exploring Hunters View and The Shipyard – SOLD OUT

In honor of Bike Month, the SF Housing Action Coalition will host a bike tour of two of San Francisco’s most notable housing projects: Hunters View and The Shipyard. Hunters View, a Hope SF project, will tranform 267 units of deteriorated public housing into a thriving, mixed-income community of almost 800 homes. Then, we’ll swing by the Shipyard for a tour so exciting we had to get permission from the Navy to do it. Over the course of the next 15 years, this master plan will build 5,500 homes on what has been old, industrial land. We will cap off the event celebrating The Shipyard’s latest initiative,[uncontained], a creative series of events that weave threads of Art, Design, History and Ecology into the fabric of this city for the health and prosperity of its dreamers and doers.

Speakers include staff from Lennar Urban, Kava Massih Architects, The John Stewart Company and more.

This will be a 3-hour urban bike tour at a casual pace for an estimated 8-mile flat bike ride, round trip. Your bike must be in good working condition and you should be comfortable biking on hills and urban streets.
