11th Annual Spring Symposium

Housing is now a key focus at the state level. Over 130 bills have been introduced in Sacramento and legislators are trying to figure out how to solve a problem that has historically been left for cities to address. That’s why for our Annual Spring Symposium, SFHAC is bringing in state representatives from the Bay Area to speak on how they view the issue and what should be done.

Assemblymember Rob Bonta
Rob Bonta was elected to the California Assembly in 2012. He represents the 18th Assembly District, which includes the cities of Oakland, Alameda and San Leandro.

Assemblymember David Chiu
David Chiu was elected to the California Assembly in 2014. He represents the 17th Assembly District, the eastern half of San Francisco.

Senator Scott Wiener
Scott Wiener was elected to the California Senate in 2016. He represents District 11, which includes all of the city and county of San Francisco, Broadmoor, Colma, Daly City, as well as part of South San Francisco

Gabriel Metcalf
Gabriel Metcalf is the president and CEO of SPUR. He oversees the operations, strategy and fundraising of SPUR’s three offices in San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose.
