From SoMa to North Beach: The Stories Behind Four Affordable Housing Developments

March 21, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm PDT

Have you ever wondered what it takes to build an affordable housing development? San Francisco, a city known recently for skyrocketing rents, has actually produced a significant amount of subsidized, or below-market-rate, housing. To learn about the City’s more recent projects, we’re pedaling to four different sites – in SoMa, the Tenderloin and North Beach – where the developer and/or architect will talk about the story behind the building and how it came to be. This tour is in conjunction with the Emerging Leaders Peer Network and the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition. #SFHACTours

Speakers include staff from Mercy Housing, BRIDGE Housing, Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation, Community Housing Partnership and David Baker Architects.

This will be a 3-hour urban bike tour at a casual pace for an estimated 5-mile flat bike ride. Your bike must be in good working condition and you should be comfortable biking on urban streets.

Limited space available. Details will be sent out after ticket purchase. This tour will sell out so reserve your spot today!

Meeting location announced upon registration.
